Global Psychedelic Survey
May 1-23, 2025
We are thrilled to announce the upcoming launch of the Global Psychedelic Survey 2025. Join us as we undertake the most comprehensive assessment of global psychedelic use amongst adults to date.
This year’s survey will be available in 18 languages as we seek to hear diverse experiences from participants around the globe.

Who is eligible to participate?
- Adults ages 21 and older
- Must have consumed a psychedelic substance. Substances may include but are not limited to psilocybin-containing mushrooms, LSD (lysergic acid diethylamide), MDMA (3,4-Methylenedioxymethamphetamine), ketamine, ayahuasca, and nitrous oxide.
What can participants expect?
- Survey completion should take participants 30-90 minutes
- Participation is anonymous and voluntary
- While all responses are completely anonymous, participants will have an opportunity to be entered into a drawing for 1 of 15 $100 USD Amazon gift certificates by voluntarily providing an email address at the end of the survey. Participants do not have to give this information to complete the survey.

Survey Distribution Partners
Our thanks to the distribution partners who are helping to ensure that voices from across the world can participate in the Global Psychedelic Survey 2025.
Additional Survey Information
As a part of this research, we will collect the survey results as well as demographic information about you (such as age, gender, and ethnicity). All survey responses are confidential, and responses will be analyzed at the group level to maintain the anonymity of participants. Data shared with our academic partners will be anonymized by removing any identifying information. We may also share aggregate group level results with third parties.
Some persons may need to see the data in order to monitor the research and verify the accuracy of the study data, including representatives from the sponsor, Advarra IRB (an independent ethics committee that reviewed the ethical aspects of this study to help protect the rights and welfare of study participants), and government regulatory authorities. However, your confidentiality will be protected within the limits of the law, and researchers will break confidentiality if required to by court order.
Your confidential information collected during the study will be kept in computer-based files available only to authorized study staff using access privileges and passwords. Data will be retained for seven years.
As part of this study, some of your personal information will be transferred electronically via the Internet. While every effort will be made to protect the confidentiality of your information, electronic transmissions via the Internet are not necessarily secure from interception, and absolute confidentiality cannot be guaranteed.
Please be advised that this research study includes data storage in the U.S.A. As such, there is a possibility that information about you that is gathered for this research study may be accessed without your knowledge or consent by the U.S. government in compliance with the U.S. Freedom Act.
The Global Psychedelic Survey 2025 will be conducted through Qualtrics. Qualtrics’ most important concern is the protection and reliability of customer data. Our servers are protected by high-end firewall systems, and scans are performed regularly to ensure that vulnerabilities are quickly found and patched. Application penetration tests are performed annually by an independent third-party. Services have quick failover points and redundant hardware, with backups performed daily.
The IRB HSBS has reviewed the study referenced above and determined that, as currently described, it is exempt from ongoing IRB review, per the following federal exemption category:
EXEMPTION 2(i) and/or 2(ii) at 45 CFR 46.104(d): Research that only includes interactions involving educational tests (cognitive, diagnostic, aptitude, achievement), survey procedures, interview procedures, or observation of public behavior (includingvisual or auditory recording) if at least one of the following criteria is met:
(i) The information obtained is recorded by the investigator in such a manner that the identity of thehuman subjects cannot readily be ascertained, directly or through identifiers linked to the subjects;
(ii) Any disclosure of the human subjects’ responses outside the research would not reasonably placethe subjects at risk of criminal or civil liability or be damaging to the subjects’ financial standing, employability, educational advancement, or reputation.
2023 Survey Results
Your voice can have an impact. Our colleagues at SABI Mind, Multidisciplinary Association of Psychedelic Studies (MAPS), Mind Medicine Australia, and Tiny sponsored the 2023 Global Psychedelic Survey, which included more than 6,000 participants from around the world.
