M-PsyC Student Engagement

Student Association for Psychedelic Studies (SAPS)

Contact: SAPSeboard@umich.edu

The Student Association for Psychedelic Studies (SAPS) was founded in the School of Social Work at The University of Michigan in 2018 by Taryn Schiff, LMSW, Meredith Baughman, LLMSW, and Adam Whitely, LLMSW. Emily Berriman serves as the current president and Ethan Goldiez serves as the current vice president.

As an organization, SAPS is interested in the growing field of psychedelic science and emerging psychedelic-assisted therapies. Our mission is to provide opportunities for education, networking, outreach, and community involvement with psychedelics for the broader student body and surrounding community at the University of Michigan. We host guest speaker events once a month and social events once a month.
