The Student Association for Psychedelic Studies (SAPS) was founded in the School of Social Work at The University of Michigan in 2018 by Taryn Schiff, LMSW, Meredith Baughman, LLMSW, and Adam Whitely, LLMSW.
As an organization, we are interested in the growing field of psychedelic science and emerging psychedelic therapies. Our mission is to provide opportunities for education, networking, outreach, and community involvement surrounding psychedelics for the broader student body at the University of Michigan. We believe that the study of psychedelics is currently underrepresented, and we aim to improve accessibility to these topics at Michigan.
